The Girls of Montreal

This series is a testimony to all the cool things that can happen when you meet two badass chicks abroad.

I’m a firm believer in what Missy Elliott so eloquently stated: “Ain’t no shame lady, do your thang—just make sure you’re ahead of the game.” Inspired by her words, I thought it’d be interesting to start a series about sex workers as a means of demystifying the image they hold in Western society.

I met Rosa and Charlie at a Montreal nightclub. From there, everything was very spontaneous: we exchanged Instagram handles and decided to see each other a few days later.

We spent a day having fun, getting to know each other, and taking pictures. No expensive gear, either—just a small analog camera and two beautiful human beings. The funny thing is, we didn’t even talk about sex work.
